In this article, the author stated and gave further evidence to prove banks are a fraud, manipulating every market they touch. When the banks are such huge ‘corporations’, they are able to manipulate the government as well, meaning that, the real people in charge are the ones who own the banks. Ultimately, the only way the governments will make changes are if the people force change. The banks own the politicians, so the congress and the white house officials are not really in a place of power where they can make whatever changes they desire. This further enforces to me, that as citizens, it is vital that we are active citizens, forcing change that we want and being involved in our government. Evidently, that is the only way we can really make change, because it is not realistic to rely on our government to make many progressive changes for us. This article revealed many opportunities the big banks have taken to manipulate people and commit fraud. For instance, the banks have charged storage fees to store gold, money etc, without even buying or storing any gold. Initiating mortgages and interest rates are also a persuasive fraud. Banks have also pledged the same mortgages multiple times to different people, which means they are collecting money several times over for the same single mortgage. The interest we pay that are supposedly going to community investments, really are profits solely for the banks. It is utterly disgusting that the big banks are a fraud that they have manipulated virtually everyone into abiding to their customs and trusting them, when in reality, if any individual in the populations even began to remotely do the things that the banks are passing by us, we would be charged, and thrown in jail. The banks are evidently above the government, and we, the people are tragically oblivious of who is really in power here.
