Assume that your first job may well be around minimum wage and create a budget plan for a month. The objective is for students to ascertain the importance of earning significantly more than minimum wage and your next assignment pertains to such.

Your budget must include the following criteria:

Establish what you would earn on minimum wage and what your after tax income would be. Put this figure in the very right column. Your budget is your left column.

1. Rent { you should research the options available to you and mention this }
2. Hydro. { do the research and find out what this would cost you }
3. Clothing.  { figure out how much money you need to allocate on this }
4. Food. { you should research the cost of food and create your budget }
5. Transport. { your research should reflect on the car you can get - kijiji }
6. Entertainment. { you will need to see exactly what you can afford }
7. Car payments { if you can afford such }
8. Savings.

If you are able to engage this on excel it would be useful to you.

Your budget should include a brief paragraph as to your ability to leave home or otherwise.
